The Blind Herd is a group of sculptures, which due to its temporary nature forms an antithesis to the ideal of a permanent, heavy statue standing stock-still. It is a combination of transient installation art, sculpture performance, urban happening, demonstration, carnival procession, block party, and a sort of artistic construction site. Depending on the place, the nature of the work shifts from one category to the other. My aim is to achieve a multilevel, situation-specific, reactive interaction between the sculptures and the public space with all its different spheres, uses, practices, and events.
